Creative Futures was commissioned by the Education Endowment Foundation and worked in collaboration with NatCen and the UCL Institute of Education to research the benefits of musical training. The Act Sing Play programme was delivered to over 900 primary school children across England who partook in 32 weekly sessions of drama, music and instrumental workshops. Results showed there was a great improvement in the pupils’ confidence and social-skills overall, whilst also being a valuable source of professional development for teachers and music tutors who were involved in the project.
