Beth Higham-Edwards
Beth is a percussionist and workshop leader. Performances include Inala (West End and internationally 2019) Amadeus at The National Theatre (2016-18), Othello at Shakespeare’s Globe (2018) and Common at The National Theatre (2017). Beth collaborated with director Tom Hughes to create Daughters of the Sun (2018) for which she composed the music, acted and played percussion/keys, and helped create the script.
Beth has led workshops for Creative Futures, Wigmore Hall, Royal Opera House Bridge, London Symphony Orchestra, Snape Maltings, London Music Masters and as a percussion coach for BBC Proms Youth Ensemble and Barbican Learning. She is an Early Years specialist for Creative Futures and Wigmore Hall however enjoys working in varied settings.
Beth recently started work on her own initiative surrounding gender bias in percussion. She wrote a paper which included her own data collection that resulted in her hosting a round table discussion at Wigmore Hall.
